Pricecheck is an international brand wholesaler and distributor of fast moving consumer goods. Established in 1978, it is a second-generation, family-owned business, founded by the parents of Mark Lythe and Debbie Harrison who now run the company as joint managing directors. Our team has over 350 years of combined trading experience and expertise which has enabled us to develop close and long-lasting relationships with leading manufacturers and brand owners across the globe.
Our 210,000 sq2 / 19,500 m2 purpose built warehouse and offices has over 20,000 pallet spaces. We have the facilities to deal with parcels of all types and size.
Our in-house packing & reworking team allow us to break down parcels, repackage or rework as required, for example many customers request language or country specific relabelling.
The Beginning - Pricecheck Toiletries began as a local retail business, before the Lythe family expanded into a health and beauty wholesale operation.
Pricecheck Moves Home – With a solid business foundation the decision to expand the warehouse facilities resulted in the move into a purposely redeveloped steelworks on Upwell Street Sheffield, close to the M1.
Product Range Expansion – Cosmetics, fragrance, household, medical and children’s products are added to Pricecheck’s diverse product portfolio.
Siblings Continue Success – Siblings Debbie Harrison and Mark Lythe take over from their parents as Joint MD’s as Pricecheck celebrates 30 years in business.
Export is Key – The business begins to focus more on its growing export markets in Europe, Australia and the USA.
Award Winning Success – The company is awarded the highest accolade for UK business success, the prestigious Queens Award for Enterprise in International Trade.
Pricecheck moves to a purpose built warehouse facility in Beighton, Sheffield after 14 years at Upwell Street.
Food & Drink Now Available – Pricecheck introduce food, drink and confectionery into their growing range of product categories in early 2017, before adding alcohol at the end of the year.
Four Decades of Growth – Pricecheck celebrates 40 years in business with a party for staff and extra holiday entitlement.
Pricecheck will continue its growth with ambitious plans to more than double turnover to £200m and increase employee numbers to over 250 by 2025.
